Finn Irish Draught X Hack, Youngstock Horses For Sale £1800 *, UK *Advertised only due to serious lack in funds, and exams coming up in a few weeks* Finn is a beautiful 16.3hh, 5yo, dapple grey, IDxISH, with King of Diamonds bloodline. Although he's 5, he's a very mature horse and looks after his riders, my mum learnt to ride on him. I'm not the best of riders (as in I still hold on to a neck strap when cantering due to a confidence issue) but he behaves quite the thing and doesn't take the mick. He would need a bit of work as he's quite lazy, but he's willing, and he's a bit underweight also, as his previous owner left him out with no rug last winter. Comes in from the field well, catch him and fling the leadrope over his neck and he'll walk down to the gate on his own, good to load/travel, never been at a show as far as I'm aware but with his attitude I'm sure he'd take it in his stride. Good with the farrier if he either has someone holding him or if he's tied up with a haynet. Good stable manners, doesn't barge, moves back when you bring his tea and loves getting groomed. No vices, never bucked, reared, bolted, kicked etc, you can stand behind him and lean on his croup and he doesn't bother one bit, can go for a snuggle with him when he's lying down etc. As far as jumping goes, I can't jump, but I bought him from a riding school who were I think jumping him up to 80cm with scope, and being free schooled he'll jump a meter, but he could definately go higher, our school's just too deep for him to get a good spring. Loves going out hacks, will go alone but prefers to be with company as he isn't sure of himself yet, but will go forward if you ask. Loves going for a good yeehaa in the fields and is very forward going, will gallop up hills and everything, but he has brakes. Isn't spooky, but if something gives him a scare he just jumps to the side, kinda like ahhh-it's fine, or on the roads he's not confident with the big artic lorries, but I just talk/sing to him and it calms him down, he only trots forward when one comes past him. Only shod on the front 2 feet also. Not a beginners horse, I bought him as a beginners horse as he was advertised as one, he would be suitable for one don't get me wrong, but I'd love it if someone could bring him on to his full size and potential. Sold with bridle and rugs, no saddle as the one I have for him doesn't fit, currently borrowing a friends, which is for sale if you want to buy it with him. £1800ovno, I won't shift much on price, as finding a horse this docile and quiet at such a young age is rare, also considering what he's been through.
